I'm thankful first and foremost for the blood shed for an unworthy sinner like myself.
My wonderful hubby...
My 3 crazy beautiful kids....
My old "primitive" house...
My old Jeep that's paid for...
Just thinking of how thankful I am of these things put a smile on my face :)
Without God I'd have none of this....Thanks God!

Just a Quick Praise!
The last few days my oldest child has been lacking shall we say in the "attitude department" when it comes to school work. Yesterday in particular was a bad afternoon. As I laid in bed last night. I started to get that "uh oh" feeling from the way I handled it. So I did the best thing I could have done I prayed to my Lord. I prayed for forgiveness in how I handled it, for an attitude change in my oldest baby and that I needed help and couldn't do this home schooling by myself. I need guidance and directions from my Lord! Well as the old saying goes : Ask and you shall receive! Here it is 12:30 he is finished with more work than planned for the first half of class. His attitude is nothing but beautiful today! Praise GOD! He listens to our wants and needs. He does what is best for us (even if we don't agree). I turned it over to him and let me tell ya he's WAY better at it than me!

He's always talking but we rarely listen.
As I was attempting jogging up and down the driveway with my husband earlier (10 times makes a mile) I noticed 2 of my car windows rolled down. As clear as I'm sitting here right now I heard a voice tell me to roll them up before I went in. Now it hasn't rained here in a long time. Nothing outside suggested rain. I normally can feel it in my knees when it is going to come one. So I brushed it off and when we finished I drug walked myself right on in the house and never gave it another thought.
Fast forward 5 hours to 12am and as we lay in bed within seconds of peaceful slumber what's the sound we begin to hear? Oh you guessed it. A blooming flood coming down outside. My first thought (of course) is my windows. Had I listened earlier and rolled them up my poor hubby wouldn't had to of gone out in the flood to roll them up for me. :)
Now I realize that not rolling up car windows isn't a life changing event. But it was a reminder ( a wet one for little davie ) that I need to listen when he speaks. He ALWAYS has our best interest at hand. Now earlier the thought of making 10 extra steps to get to the car to roll up those windows I didn't feel was in my best interest. He knew different!
We need to be alert at all times. Listen and follow what we are told. It's all laid our for us like a nice little packaged road map. Granted 9 times outta 10 not the road we would pick but in the end always the best route to take.
Lord please open my eyes and ears so that I might better follow and serve you! Lead me down the path you want me to take! And please my Dear Lord stay with me and help me up when I stumble.

Share Jesus Without Fear
I'm currently reading this book and I've loved it. It reminds us that as Christians it is our duty to share the word with non believers. In hopes that they will accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I've always believed Jesus died on that cross for my sins and I was very thankful for that. But what I never did was show it in my actions or words that I was a Christian. I for the majority of my adult life have lived how ever "I" wanted to. Never stopping to listen to God. And and can tell you that when I make decisions on my own I fail 100% of the time. I had never witnessed or attempted to witness to anyone. I was scared of getting rejected and then being embarrassed because of it. I've always had compassion for others and a desire to help others. But without doing it in the name of the Lord it meant nothing.
So today I was in a online game room going to play some cards. As I was watching the tables and reading in the lobby God spoke to me and said " see if anyone wants a closer relationship with Jesus". So I started to type it then stopped and erased it. I thought I can't say that I was pretty for sure what the answer to my question was going to be and I didn't want to start "trouble" for myself. Well that "feeling" wouldn't go away. That feeling of failure and shame. So I typed it in and put it out there. Once I did I felt like a house had been lifted off my heart. And it only took a couple of seconds for an answer to come back from someone in the room. I won't repeat that answer here it wasn't very nice. But even tho I got a nasty reply back. I was so happy in the fact that I had obeyed and did what God led me to do. I couldn't help but :)

Salvation
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever (that's you) believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.John 3:16 |
It takes more than just "believing" that God exist or that Jesus died. Even the devil believes that!
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. James 2:19 |
The first step is to "Believe" your a sinner. Just like the rest of mankind.
" But I'm a good person! I've never killed anyone or cheated on my spouse!"
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 |
Have you ever lied? Stolen anything.....even just a pen? Cheated on a test?
Just like me and everyone else your a sinner. What does God tell us about sin?
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 |
This tells us that our payment for our sins is Death. Eternal death; permanent separation from God! But God has "given" us a gift! We all know gifts are FREE!
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2: 8,9 |
There's that gift again! It's not what we do but what God DID FOR US! Remember you can not "earn" a gift so you cannot "earn" your way into heaven. Good works are wonderful but they won't save you from the pits of hell!
So how can you receive this gift? All you have to do is accept it.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Corinthians 5:21 |
This tells us that God made Jesus to be sin for us! He paid the price for the gift!
Jesus tells us in the bible that there is ONLY ONE way to God. And that way is through him, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 |
Jesus himself said that anyone who believes on him has everlasting life! Enter the kingdom of heaven with our Lord and Savior!
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. John 6:47 |
You can have eternal life right now! You don't have to be in a church to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior!
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 |
Tell God you believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins. Tell Him you're trusting Him and Him alone to give you eternal life.
If you just said a prayer confessing with your mouth and believing with your heart the Lord Jesus then...Welcome to the family! :) How do you feel?
Go tell everyone you know! Be proud don't be ashamed. You just did the best thing in your entire life! God and his angles are having a party in honor of you!
there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. -Luke 15:10b |
- How many of your sins has Christ paid for? ALL OF THEM!
- How many of your sins does Christ remember? NONE OF THEM!
- Where does Christ now live? In your heart!
What do I do next?
First you need to buy yourself a good bible. Start today. I strongly urge you first to read the Gospel of John, and then read the book of Romans. The Gospel of John will tell you the basic Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the book of Romans will tell you about basic Christianity.
Next find a good bible believing church. Tell the pastor of your recent salvation and ask to be baptized. The Bible teaches that baptism is an outward showing of your becoming a Christian. It symbolizes your dying and coming back to life as a new child of Christ.
Once again Welcome to the Family. We are now sisters and brothers in Christ!
AND REMEMBER YOU WERE SAVED BY GRACE!
